As discussed on our geriatrics page, Dr. Verma is passionate about treating senior dogs and cats. Thus, our Fear Free Certified Staff provides comprehensive mobile geriatric veterinary services in your home; this includes veterinary hospice services. Dr. Verma can help you navigate quality of life questions about your canine or feline family member and explain disease processes and their prognosis. Dr. Verma believes in treating every patient with dignity and respect and views euthanasia as a means to alleviate a patient's suffering when medically indicated. In this informed context, he provides this service in-home to existing house call patients actively seeking treatment at no cost and to new patients after a quality of life consultation—based on availability. All patients receive sedation prior to euthanasia, and we are committed to making the passing as peaceful as possible.
The mobile veterinary hospice services Personalized Veterinary House Calls & Rehabilitation provides to senior dogs and cats are similar to what we provide all of our geriatric patients: These include but are not limited to in-depth physical examination, multiple medical condition management, pain recognition and management, lab tests, diagnostic ultrasound, nutrition counseling, nursing care, oxygen therapy, and specialist teleconsult/referral. We believe hospice and euthanasia decisions should be made after the client has been well informed about their dog or cat’s prognosis.
The first appointment typically lasts about 1 hour to ensure we attend to all of your cat or dog’s needs. As with all of services, we provide direct doctor communication to our clients. To learn more about Dr. Verma's experience and qualifications, please click here
